The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first visit to the orthodontist at age 7. While Dr. Charles Gulland does not recommend treatment for most 7 year-olds, we see it is a great time for an evaluation, as several permanent teeth have erupted by this age. There is a short list of problems that require early intervention, though most of our young patients enter our Growth and Development program. This allows Dr. Gulland to monitor your child periodically until the point treatment is recommended. Our initial exam and all Growth and Development appointments are completely free.

While age 7 is recommended for a first visit, it is never too late to start enjoying the smile of your dreams. We treat parents and even grandparents!
